Safety Boat 
This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities.
 
It includes rescue techniques and elements of race management and mark laying.
 




Assumed knowledge
Basic understanding of sailing boats and windsurfers. RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate must be held prior to this course

We are running a VHF radio course on Friday the 22nd January. Start at 09.30 and finish at around 4 pm. We have seven places available. It is good to get these courses done in the winter so there is plenty of time to use them in the summer out on the water. The course will be run at Salcombe Yacht club. We use Icom training sets, so you get to use the real thing!  Proper and clear communication can save lives!
